Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a gentle hands-on therapy that taps into the craniosacral rhythm and supports the nervous system, helping the body to heal itself. CST can help with a wide variety of ailments including headaches, tension, fatigue, TMJ syndrome, orthopedic injuries, emotional imbalances, amongst others.

I recently started practicing craniosacral therapy (CST) after training with the Upledger Institute. I have fallen in love with this subtle yet profound modality. I feel incredibly fortunate to be joining the team at Natural Balance Wellness Center in Peoria, a place for deep healing.

In addition to practicing CST, I work as a pediatric nurse practitioner and am a mom to 3 kids. In my free time, I enjoy yoga, nature, and reading. I received a bachelor of arts degree from McGill University, an associate’s degree in nursing from Phillips Beth Israel School of Nursing, and a masters of science in nursing from Columbia University.

Sessions typically last approximately 50 minutes. For children ages 2 to 10, I expect a session to last 30 to 45 minutes, depending on what the child’s needs are and how the treatment goes. I do not treat children under the age of two or pregnant women; if this is the care you seek, I invite you to contact Dr. Sara Howard at Natural Balance Wellness Center.
