Chiropractic is a drug-free, non-surgical science that is concerned with human health and prevention of disease. Doctors of Chiropractic are physicians who view the human body as an integrated being, giving special attention to the physiological and biochemical aspects of health. This approach to health includes the structural, spinal, musculoskeletal, neurological, vascular, nutritional, emotional and environmental relationships of the body. The doctors of Natural Balance Wellness Center utilize adjustments to the spine and extremities to help enduce natural mobilization and alignment to the human frame, thus freeing any irritation or dysfunction of the nervous system which innately controls every aspect of life.
Your initial appointment will involve a detailed health history and a thorough physical examination of the affected area. Depending on your condition or injury, the doctor may take x rays to provide a better overall picture of the cause of your symptoms and structure of your body. At the end of your first visit we will schedule you for a report of findings allowing the doctor to explain their findings to you, answer any questions you may have, and establish recommendations for treatment.
The most common answer is a resounding, No! The vast majority of people who receive care in our office say there is no pain at all, and actually how good it feels during and after their adjustment. It is possible to have some soreness and ache especially after your first few visits. The body is in an adaptive state so often it can mimic the soreness of a muscle after a workout. Applying ice, which we highly recommend after your first few visits, will help decrease the odds of this occurring.

Most chiropractic colleges require a bachelor’s degree focusing on pre-med studies of chemistry, biochemistry, or kinesiology. During the near year round, three and a half years of chiropractic schooling, students further study chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, anatomy, physiology, and multiple technique courses among others. While attending school students spend over one year in clinics honing their skills and competencies. The doctors of Natural Balance Wellness Center are always improving their knowledge and treatment methods through weekend seminars and webinars to give you the best care possible.
